Job Brief

Core Responsibilities include executing the organisation’s strategy as determined by the Board, allocating financial resources, and overseeing the executive team.

To oversee all business operations, people and ventures. Strategically steer the company to the most profitable

position by establishing goals and formulating plans to make sure these goals are met and are aligned with the

Mission, Vision and Core Values of the Company.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

•    Must have professional insurance qualifications, preferably FLMI/HIA/ACII/CLU or other related life health insurance examinations.

•   A University degree in a relevant field (Management or Insurance related)

•   Master’s degree in general management will be a desirable and added asset.

•   At least 10 years’ senior level experience in a Life Insurance Company, foreign experience will be an added asset.

•   Strengths and abilities in the following areas - finance, computer literacy, investment and technical aspects of the

Life, Health and pension business.

•   Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans.

 

Specific Responsibilities include:

•   Executing Organizational Strategy

•   Providing Strong leadership - Building and Overseeing the Senior Leadership Team

•   Overseeing the financial operations

•   Communicating Effectively with all stakeholders

 

Personal Characteristics

•    Strong Leadership skills: be able to attract, guide and retain talented human capital that will support the company’s mission and vision.

•    Extraordinary passion: be passionate about the job and be able to handle the pressure and scrutiny that comes with the position.

•    Excellent verbal  and written communication and presentation skills: Have fluent public speaking skills to effectively deliver and reinforce the organization’s message.
