Our client, The Business Supply Group is seeking to fill the position of General Manager - BOSS.

Position Overview:

The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of BOSS. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in sales, distribution, and business management. The GM will drive growth, optimise operations, and ensure the company meets its financial and operational goals.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan, aligning with the overall goals of BSGL.
    • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive growth.
    • Collaborate with BSGL’s executive team to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Sales and Marketing:
    • Lead the sales team in achieving revenue targets across all product lines.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and customer base.
    • Oversee marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and product positioning.
  • Operations Management:
    • Optimise the supply chain and distribution processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
    • Implement best practices in inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Financial Management:
    • Work closely with BSGL’s shared Finance department to develop and manage the Division’s budget.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Drive cost efficiency while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across sales, operations, and customer service.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and accountability.
    • Work with BSGL’s Human Resources department to manage recruitment, training, and employee development.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners.
    • Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
    • Address and resolve any customer issues or concerns promptly.
    • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to drive product and service improvements.
  • Technology and Innovation:
    • Leverage BSGL’s IT resources to implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
    • Stay informed about technological advancements that could benefit the company’s operations and customer experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within sales and distribution
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
