HSE Intern - Temporary Assignment

ANSA McAL Limited is seeking a suitably qualified HSSE Intern to join our Team.

Job Summary

ANSA McAL Limited is seeking a highly motivated individual with to contribute to the overall well-being and enterprise risk management of our business. The candidate will work closely alongside other HSSE and risk professionals across the group to ensure compliance with all HSSE & Risk procedures and Standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with Ansa McAL’s Safety Management System Standards, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Company Policies and Procedures and other statutory requirements.
• Monitor and review HSSE Performance Indicator inputs weekly.
• Assist with Groupwide launch of SMS Connect.
• Assist with inspections and walkthroughs of all Head Office locations.
• Coordinate Contractor and Employee Inductions as needed.
• Assist with revision of HSE and Security Policy manuals
• Schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure completion and distribution of minutes.
• Assist with employee training on SMS Standards via Employee Central.
• Ensure all administrative tasks are completed within the required timeframes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Studying/completed a Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety and Health, or related field
• Training and certification in OSH&E Management systems would be an asset.
• Knowledge of OSHE regulations
• At least one (1) year experience in OSHE
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Good communication skills, oral and written.
• Good investigative/auditing skills
• Adaptable and willing to rotate among other companies within the Group, if required.
