Production Technician

The Production Technician, Moulding is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing machines and equipment in the Moulding Division.

Job Summary:

• The Production Technician, Moulding is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing machines and equipment in the Moulding Division. This includes mould changes, machine set-up and start-up, machine operation, production quality, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs and housekeeping. All work shall be performed while following the rules, technical work procedures and guidelines, of ANSA Polymer, with special attention being given to Health, Safety and Environment.

Job Description:

• Set up machine and execute production runs, as per production schedule, ensuring product quality standards, effective materials consumption, machine settings and machine output targets are maintained.
• Perform regular lubrication on production equipment and system checks in accordance with preventative maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning machines and systems and make corrective actions or adjustments to ensure consistent product quality and machine efficiency.
• Perform mould changes and ensure completion in allocated timeframe.
• Prepare production reports and or maintain logs associated with the job function.
• Trim, deflash and label finished product as required and pack in approved packaging.
• Complete production tags/pallet tickets to ensure identification and traceability of all finished goods.
• Perform routine quality checks as per the company’s quality management system procedures.
• Ensures full compliance with all OSH standards and Compliance policies.
• Cross train and perform duties of other team members as needed.
• Comply with Company’s/Department’s strategies along with the Quality Management System as it relates to health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
• Perform any other job duties as required by the job function as requested by the Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of five O’levels inclusive of Mathematics and English.
• MET or MEET Certificate.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Good interpersonal skills, team player, collaborative.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Self- accountable and demonstrated a high level of integrity.
