- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop, manage, and execute financial plans and forecasts to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
- Perform regular analysis of manufacturing costs and variances, and recommend strategies for cost control and improvement.
- Provide detailed financial reports and insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts for all manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Monitor and manage production costs, inventory levels, and labor costs to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize production processes, and reduce inefficiencies across departments.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial close processes.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring that reconciling items are investigated timely and cleared.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, regulations, and external audits.
- Oversee the Payroll Team responsible for the weekly/monthly payroll process
- Inventory & Working Capital Management:
- Manage inventory accounting, ensuring proper valuation and control of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Optimize working capital management, including cash flow forecasting, accounts payable/receivable.
- Strategic Support:
- Provide financial analysis and support for strategic business decisions, including product pricing, investments, and capital expenditures.
- Partner with operations and production teams to drive improvements in financial performance, process efficiency, and product costings.
- Support business growth by evaluating financial implications of new projects and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews.
- Foster a collaborative working environment with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales, and production).
- Adherence to the Company’s established good manufacturing practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Quality requirements.
- Actively promote, support and comply with the Company’s established Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and industry best practices;
- Performs any other job-related duties as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
