Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

 

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for supporting the safe delivery and handover of the facility/plant from the construction contractor to the owner or the operator.

 

  • Multi-discipline commissioning experience preferably on client assets.
  • Support the planning and preparation for overall portfolio pre-commissioning and commissioning works execution.
  • Interface, align, and integrate Commissioning plans and requirements with other portfolio stakeholders, i.e. PMT, Engineering, Planning, Construction, as well as Clients and vendors.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning, commissioning and completions work.
  • Create Limits of System Handover (LOSH) boundaries for the projects and ensure that project is handed over as per defined LOSH boundaries.
  • Play an active role in maintaining a strong safety culture in commissioning team.
  • Ensure all commissioning data, documentation and handovers are in accordance with
  • Completions process and project procedures.
  • Contributes to Systemisation and Commissioning Plans.
  • Contributes commissioning input during design phase.
  • Prepare for and attend Factory Acceptance Tests as required.
  • Create and execute commissioning procedures.
  • Review Client and vendors commissioning assistance plans.
  • Preparation of detailed test plans, procedures, work instructions, JSA’s, etc. as necessary for commissioning activities.
  • Identify pre-commissioning and commissioning tools, test equipment, temporary facilities, lubricants, consumables, third party services required for work execution and arrange the procurement thereof.
  • Support pre-start up, constructability and readiness reviews to ensure efficient commissioning and handover.
  • Assist coordination of sourcing of project pre-commissioning / commissioning manpower, materials, equipment and third - party services, if any, and ensure availability as per plan.
  • Assist offshore personnel mobilization plan and coordinate personnel offshore POB and movement.
    Contributes to discipline element of FEED studies.
  • Contributes to bid submissions for Commissioning Team, including proposals and CTR estimates.
  • Contributes to the P6 plan and timely progress reporting for respective discipline.
  • Contributes to and engages with the Risk Register and Lesson learnt.
  • Contributes to discipline audits and investigations for safety incidents and NCRs.
  • Demonstrates proactive ownership of personal development plan and competence assessment.
  • Assisting with the delivery and timely execution of the project/contract/service and ensure the contract requirements are satisfied.
  • Perform all other job-related functions as required.

 

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Engineering (BSc, BEng)
  • Membership of a professional body
  • Typically a minimum of 8 years’ minimum relevant experience.
  • Conversant with the completions / commissioning process.
  • Ability to understand / project specifications, procedures and drawings.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of installation, testing, pre - commissioning, commissioning and general O&M of plant equipment and components.
  • Ability to identify PTW requirements and complete associated method statements / risk assessments for the safe execution of work scope.
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
