Automation Engineer

The incumbent will be required to assist across various IT platforms.

     Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough manual functional testing of web applications to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Design and review test cases, ensuring they cover all aspects of the application functionality.
• Execute test cases and report results, providing clear and concise documentation of defects and issues.
• Design and implement test strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage and alignment with product requirements.
• Use bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) to identify, log, and track defects.
• Perform cross-browser and compatibility testing to ensure consistent performance across different environments.
• Create and share test status reports with key stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the testing process.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers to understand product requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
• Stay updated with the latest software test design and testing methodologies.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, contributing to sprint planning and review sessions.

Qualifications:

• First degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related field.
• Two (2) to six  (6) years of experience as an Automation Engineer

Primary Skills:

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) concepts and their implementation.
• Current knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
• Experience in designing and reviewing test cases.
• Proven experience in executing tests and reporting results.
• Demonstrated ability in designing and implementing test plans and strategies.
• Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Expertise in cross-browser and compatibility testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Secondary Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Basic understanding of automated testing tools and techniques.
