Job Summary
The Brand Innovation Project Manager will be responsible for driving innovation projects from concept to commercialization. This role will work cross-functionally with marketing, R&D, production, and sales teams to develop and execute strategies that align with consumer trends and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for brand innovation, consumer insights, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Innovation Strategy & Project Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end innovation process, from ideation to supporting product launch.
- Develop and execute an innovation roadmap that aligns with business goals and consumer trends.
- Manage multiple innovation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Sales) to bring innovations to market successfully.
Consumer Insights & Market Trends
- Support the conducting of market research and analyze consumer trends to identify innovation opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external ‘insights’ teams to translate consumer needs into actionable product concepts.
- Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends in the beverage industry.
Product Development & Commercialization
- Work closely with R&D and production teams to develop new product formulations and packaging innovations.
- Manage product testing, pilot production, and go-to-market strategies.
- Ensure all innovation projects meet quality, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
Financial & Performance Management
- Develop business cases for new product initiatives, including cost analysis and revenue projections.
- Monitor post-launch performance to assess the success and impact of innovations.
- Optimize project budgets and timelines to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Training and Development
- Collaborate with HR to develop innovation training agenda and roll out.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Innovation Management, or related field. MBA is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in brand innovation, product development, or project management within the beverage, FMCG, or CPG industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching new products or brand innovations.
