The Head of Sales and Marketing is responsible for strategic and operational lead of the Sales and Marketing Function.

Job Summary:
Accountable for Sales, margins, performance and key customer Net Promoter Score of the company. Also, recommending, establishing and driving the sales strategy for the company in collaboration with the Managing Director and Executive Team. This role is also responsible for providing leadership to the daily sales function by aligning to the sales strategy with close oversight and management over the sales team and showroom.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the MD and other Executives in the planning of the sales strategy,
sales/margin budgets and overall marketing plan for the company.
• Establish the company’s sales objectives needed to achieve the sales strategy. This includes managing the sales function’s calendar inclusive of trading
opportunities, promotions etc.
• Plan sales team’s targets aligned to the sales goals and strategy and provide
mentorship to the sales team when needed.
• Monitor and Manage operational sales function with assessment of functional
team against KPIs. This includes setting KPIs, assessing KPIs, conducting
appraisals, identifying and filling resourcing and skills gaps.
• Manage overall operations of the showroom staff, CSR, sales representatives,
merchandisers and sales related staff.
• Assess the company’s performance against, budget, prior performance and
long-term strategy.
• Collaborate with the MD to ensure that the marketing and merchandising plans
are aligned to the sales plan.
• Collaborate with the MD to ensure beneficial supplier relationships including
negotiation, promotional support and purchasing targets and new product
launches.
• Managing Key stakeholder relationships on behalf of the company. This includes
both customers and vendors.
• Grow the business lines of the company as per the sales strategy
• Prepare timely monthly executive reports for the MD in relation to the sales
performance and sales strategy by utilising analytical tools and undertaking
detail analysis for the purpose of reporting success, weakness and
opportunities. This is inclusive of forecasts for sales and ensuring inventory is
available on time for sales needs.
• Ensure all members of the sales team are trained and regularly assessed,
monitored and managed when and if necessary.
• Collaborate with General Manager to support all customer related matters and
drive best in class standards.
• Comply with the standards and policies set by the Company and ensure the
sales teams are in compliance with same.
• Perform any ad hoc projects or related duties assigned by the MD.
