The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the warehouse manager in leadership, and warehousing coordination to ensure the receipt, storage, loading, transfer and shipping of products to customers.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the warehouse manager in leadership, and warehousing coordination to ensure the receipt, storage, loading, transfer and shipping of products to customers. To efficiently and effectively manage safety, quality, reliability, productivity and costs utilizing world-class warehouse management best practices and systems.

JOB DUTIES

  • Preventive management controls must be implemented to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
  • Manage warehouse costs and labour organization efficiently the prevention of material losses must be a visible priority.
  • Continuous improvement of warehousing processes, and personnel competence must become a rooted component of our culture.
  • Manage the Cold Storage in accordance with approved company guidelines.
  • Any condition that presents a hazard to the health or safety of employees and food safety to customers must be addressed urgently and to the full extent that is feasible.
  • Ensure efficient Space utilization and storage.
  • Implement and manage necessary warehouse control processes and programs.
  • All operations reporting must be consistently accurate and timely. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc. Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management and/or ACCA qualification and/or CIPS Advance Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Warehousing role within a manufacturing environment including FEFO management, and stock taking. (Experience in a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.)
  • At least 1 year of experience serving in a supervisory capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management software / database applications will be considered an asset.
  • Computer Literate with a strong background in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience in warehouse management KPIs, practices and principles to maintain food safety standards.
  • Capability to operate within HSE guidelines and operate according to best practices for warehouse-powered industrial trucks
