AGOSTINI'S LIMITED
Agostini’s Limited and its various subsidiaries offer value added Products and Services within the Distribution, Retail, Manufacturing and Construction Sectors in Trinidad and Tobago. The Group distributes Pharmaceuticals, Food, Beverages, Household, Imaging, Lighting, Printing, Oilfield and Hydraulic Products, as well as Tools and Fastening Systems and Building Materials. In addition the Company has retail stores specializing in decorative lighting and paints mixed to order. They have also been involved in the provisioning of interior construction services for the past 50 years.
COMPANY MILESTONES
The following highlights the Company’s growth and changes since inception:
1925
Johnnie Agostini begins operations as a commission indent business.
1933
Victor Agostini joins and Agostini Brothers partnership is formed. In 1941 another brother, Frank, joins the Firm.
1943
Agostini Brothers becomes a limited liability company.
1950
Agostini Brothers transitions from a commission indent business to a distribution company, with the addition of major pharmaceutical, food and hardware products.
1965
Interior contracting services are added as a new business.
1982
Agostini Brothers changes its name to Agostini’s Ltd. and becomes a public company listed on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.
1984
Hilti W.L. Yearwood is acquired, later to become Agostini’s Fastening Systems (now a division of Agostini Building Solutions).
1993
Gordon Grant Trading, a distribution company specialising in pharmaceutical distribution, is acquired. Agostini’s pharmaceutical lines are merged into this company, which is renamed Agostini Pharmaceutical Ltd.
1995
Agostini’s acquires a majority shareholding in Rosco Sales Ltd., an oilfield supply company founded in 1950.
2000
Agostini Industries: The Group expands into low-cost housing and townhouse construction, and constructs 30 townhouses and over 300 low-cost single family homes (assets divested in 2010).
2000
Petroavance Trinidad Ltd., an oilfield supply company, is acquired and merged with Rosco Sales to become Rosco Petroavance Ltd.
2008
Hand Arnold Trinidad Ltd., a large diversified FMCG distributor established in 1920, is acquired. In July 2015, it becomes part of Caribbean Distribution Partners Ltd.
2010
Victor E. Mouttet Ltd. acquires a controlling interest in Agostini’s Ltd. with its sale of Smith Robertson & Co. Ltd., a major pharmaceutical distributor founded in 1894, and the acquisition of SuperPharm Ltd., a major retail pharmacy chain, which began operations in 2005.
2011
In July 2011, Agostini Pharmaceutical is amalgamated into Smith Robertson & Company Ltd.
2012
Agostini’s Ltd. re-branded “Every Business a Benchmark”
2015
Caribbean Distribution Partners Ltd., formed as a joint venture with Goddard Enterprises Ltd.
2016
Acquisition of Vemco Ltd. by Caribbean Distribution Partners Ltd.
2016
Agostini Marketing becomes Agostini Building Solutions.

Acquisition of Pepsi Cola Trinidad Bottling Co. Ltd. by Caribbean Distribution Partners Ltd.
The Finance Manager is accountable for consolidating management accounts across the regional group of companies, acting as the single point of accountability for planning and performance data, and supporting business development and M&A activities.
The Customs Clerk is responsible for performing all functions required to ensure that all Company shipments are cleared in an efficient and productive manner.
The successful candidate will provide support by identifying/developing and implementing HR solutions, delivering HR services.
In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for, designing, implementing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing database management systems; developing, modifying, maintaining, and supporting application systems with a focus on service improvement and optimization.
This role requires the incumbent to be responsible for financial planning, analysis and projection for the Company. They will forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures and determine capital budgeting for projects.
This position requires the individual to have experience in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) to ensure top-notch standards in the culinary realm.
The accountant is responsible for managing and analysing financial records, including income, expenses, and taxes.
