The Trade Auditor plays a necessary role in ensuring that the Company’s brands are consistent across all platforms and comply in keeping with the Company’s and Suppliers’ requirements.

JOB SUMMARY:                

The Trade Auditor plays a necessary role in ensuring that the Company’s brands are consistent across all platforms and comply in keeping with the Company’s and Suppliers’ requirements. This involves being responsible for reviewing and evaluating the brands’ strategies, POP, and product placements toward maintaining brand integrity, consistency and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts regular audits of trade-related activities, by store category, to ensure all products, pricing and promotional materials are in compliance.
  • Works closely with the Marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Identifies areas where there are gaps and inconsistencies in brand identity.
  • Observes and communicates any competition on the trade to the Marketing team.
  • Maintains documentation of all brand audits and results for future reference.
  • Follows up to ensure that all brands under purview are visited daily in accordance with the schedules provided.
  • Ensures that store layouts are executed in accordance with plan-o-grams or as directed by the marketing team. Also ensures that shelf space is maintained in a clean and orderly manner through both planned and random store visits.
  • Consistently seeks opportunities for additional space in stores, to increase shelf-space and allow for cross merchandising to ensure optimal positioning of the Company’s products.
  • Supports the team for best-in-class executions and ensures all promotions, specials, deals and pricing are duly implemented.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with the Merchandising team and sales representatives, especially for assigned stores. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with stock count exercises as required.
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Group’s Guidelines on Business Conduct, the Company’s policy on health and safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
  • Undertakes other duties which may arise or be delegated to support the objectives of the organization. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Academic Qualifications

  • A minimum of five (5) GCE/CXC O’ Levels passes inclusive of English and Mathematics. 

Experience:

  • An understanding of the retail channel will be an asset.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability and willingness to travel throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle.
  • Must hold a valid Trinidad and Tobago Driver’s Permit.
