Temporary Accounting/Administrative Assistant (5-month contract)

Our client is looking for an Accounting/ Administrative Assistant for a short-term 5-month contract.

JOB OPPORTUNITY

TEMPORARY ACCOUNTING & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 

(5-MONTH CONTRACT)

Location: Port of Spain

Salary: $6,000.00 per month

 Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the correct general ledger and transactions are adequately supported
• Processing and recording daily and monthly transactions and ensuring that monthly journal entries are recorded
• Preparing cheque payment vouchers, cheques and online payments
• Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential
• Accounts receivable and credit customer management
• Answering phone calls, emails and directing inquiries
• Preparing of letters, project documents and reports as required
• Maintaining and organizing financial records and documents
• Filing, scanning and photocopying documents
• Preparing and sending invoices and other financial documents

Qualifications and Experience:

• Pursuing (AAT) or (ACCA) qualifications
• Minimum three (3) years accounting experience
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
