The Team Leader, Human Resources is responsible for managing the daily planning, operations and problem-solving within the human resource team by providing professional advice, assistance and follow-up in company policies, procedures and documentation.

Some Duties/Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel. Liaising with department heads with respect to their strategic plans. Reviewing process mapping of all departments for efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Planning, organizing, and controlling all activities of the department. Participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Developing the competencies of the HR Team as well as appraising them in accordance with company policy.
  3. Implementing and annually updating the compensation program; rewriting job descriptions as necessary; conducting annual salary surveys; analyzing compensation; monitoring performance management program and revising as necessary.
  4. Developing, recommending, and implementing personnel policies and procedures; preparing and maintaining handbook on policies and procedures.
  5. Overseeing recruitment and selection process effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students, and temporary employees.
  6. Managing, training and developing the human resources within his/her Unit in accordance with human resources standards and practices.
  7. Maintaining department records and preparing monthly reports. Participating in administrative staff meetings and attending other meetings, such as seminars. Maintaining company organization charts and employee directory.
  8. Evaluating reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  9. Assisting the Chief Executive Officer in all union-related matters.
