Our tax practice revolves around helping our clients effectively manage their tax obligations proactively and responsibly. Through a combined international, regional, and local tax approach, EY tax professionals assist companies with their tax compliance responsibilities, as well as understand the important linkage between tax planning and their business imperatives.

We provide a wide array of tax services to help companies identify and implement winning tax strategies that align with the client's business objectives. Groups (or, as we call them – sub-service lines) within the Tax function include Business Tax Services, Global Compliance and Reporting, Human Capital, Indirect Tax Services, International Tax Services and Transaction Tax Services.

The opportunity

EY Trinidad is currently recruiting for Tax professionals- at Manager and Senior Manager levels.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with the laws and regulations of Trinidad & Tobago on a timely basis
• Manage and coordinate the identification and mitigation of tax issues and risks
• Build relationships and maintain continuous interaction with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
• Manage tax compliance process including the preparation and review of tax returns, tax audits and tax planning solutions
• Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
• Lead team of tax professionals and share knowledge to develop junior staff and enhance overall service delivery.

To qualify, you must have

• a Bachelor's degree (or higher), preferably with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance, and/ or Professional Certification e.g., CPA, ACCA
  • tax experience including a broad exposure to tax advisory and tax compliance. Experience levels will be assessed accordingly
  • working relationships with the Inland Revenue Authorities and other statutory bodies
