The position of System Administrator is responsible for assisting with installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of system hardware and software and associated infrastructure at all the Company’s sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.
  • Documenting processes, backing up and archiving data, and developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
  • Installation and configuration of server virtualization.
  • Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet the company’s objectives.
  • Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
  • Implementation and maintenance of firewall (for example, Fortinet).
  • Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
  • Providing exceptional end-user support and configuring mobile devices.
  • Providing support to the Simulator Team and at the company’s various locations.
  • Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems
  • Creating user accounts and performing access control
  • Keeping abreast of advancements and best practices in IT administration.
  • Preparing timely reports as required.
  • Providing assistance with website applications on an as needed basis.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.

 

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  •  Sound knowledge of methods, tools and equipment used in the installation and service of hardware and software.
  • Principles and practices of installing and maintaining servers and workstations.
  • Fundamental   knowledge   of   networking   concepts,   practices   and   troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard networking principles, theory and practices.
  • Knowledge of computing infrastructure and web filtering techniques.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2012, 2016 and 2019.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of PBX systems and Cisco switches
  • Active Directory maintenance

 

WORKING EXPERIENCE

  • At least five (5) years working in the IT field.
  • Experience with network management software including Windows server, Active Directory and computer management software applications.
  • Experience with server installation, security, backup and recovery.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems
  • CISCO Certification
  • COMPTIA Network Certification

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING CONDITION 

  • Normal physical effort required for performing IT duties.

  • Required to respond to IT issues outside of normal working hours (inclusive of weekends)
  • and at the company’s various locations.
