Shift Operator

The Shift Operator will be responsible for the dispensing of fuel electronically, receiving payments for fuel and merchandise available for sale at the service station and ensuring efficiency of operations during the requisite shift.

The Shift Operator will be responsible for the dispensing of fuel electronically, receiving payments for fuel and merchandise available for sale at the service station and ensuring efficiency of operations during his/her requisite shift. All duties will be performed with a consistently high focus on accuracy and customer service. 

This twenty-four hour service station/gas station is located in CUREPE and operates on a rotational shift system. 

• Greeting customers and assisting them with any needs or questions
• Answering Customer questions such as identifying prices of various merchandise available for sale
• Accepting and verifying customer payments for products sold
• Processing all debit, credit card transactions, phone card transactions and lottery transactions.
• Ensuring that restricted products are sold to customers that are of the required age
• Preparing charge bills for specific and maintaining accurate records of same
• Accounting for all transactions and maintaining accurate cash count and document retention
• Taking a stock count and balance the shift at close to facilitate smooth transfer to subsequent shift
• Maintain inventory levels, stock/re-stock shelves and replenish stock levels
• Overseeing the activities of the forecourt/pump attendants, assigning duties where necessary and preparing performance evaluations as required. 
• Preparing requisite reports, forms and documentation to submit to management
• Maintaining good and professional employee relations with all employees
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, stretching, climbing, repetitive motions and perform physical labour.
• Must be able to climb Road Tank Wagons and perform physical labour.
