Plant Operator - Caribbean Development Co. Ltd.

The candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring plant equipment and systems in keeping with accepted engineering practices to facilitate optimal plant production.

Job Summary

• The candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring plant equipment and systems in keeping with accepted engineering practices to facilitate optimal plant production.

Major Responsibilities

• Operates plant equipment/ systems in keeping with manufacturers’ recommendations and established engineering standards.
• Continuously monitors all plant equipment/systems to ensure the efficient operations within established specifications.
• Records all information necessary to assess equipment performance as established by the Supervisor or as indicated by daily log sheet.
• Timely reporting and escalation of problems or potential problems with plant equipment/systems
• Monitors levels of consumables necessary to maintain proper operation of equipment/systems and make arrangements for its replenishment.
• Performs necessary operational checks/tests and make adjustments for optimal performance in accordance with proper operating standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Process Plant Operator Diploma Certificate from an accredited Technical School
• MET, E.E.E.T or Journeyman Diploma will be an asset.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar environment.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite program and other relevant software.
• Competent in the use of basic mechanical hand tools.
