Job Summary:

Responsible for performing the duties associated with the following areas: Press Room, Finishing & Wash Up as assigned by management in accordance with the Company’s guidelines. Ensure that production targets for Yields, Speeds and Uptime are achieved in accordance to all Company policies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and understand information contained in job bags to determine quantities, specifications and special instructions on presses.
• Ensure all substrates used are scanned and recorded in the Radius system.
• Assist in the Make Ready process, WI 7/7C by preparing and mounting rolls, and assisting the Press Operator in setting up the press with the correct anilox selections, pumps, substrates, plates, tooling and inks.
• Continuously monitor the quality on the press inclusive of Inks (PH & Viscosity), substrate and printed work.
• Pull samples for quality checks as per the Sampling Plan.
• Pack labels off the conveyor, as per guidelines, when assigned to a press.
• Assist Press Operator in performing routine preventative maintenance repair as necessary.
• Work along side the Press Operator and ensure the timely changeover of all jobs on the shift.
• Complete all necessary documentation on a daily basis.
• Assist operator in the return and documentation of un-used inks and substrates as directed and as required.
• Perform quality checks on labels.
• Bind labels off the conveyor and package labels as per requirements.
• Package WIP, stack WIP in assigned areas and ensure that WIP is accurately labeled, boxed and tagged.
• Wash, clean and prepare all accessories, including pumps, pans, Harris & Bruno and aniloxes, associated with the printing process.
• Ensure that good housekeeping practices are maintained at all times.
• Immediate press area and press is cleaned every shift as per housekeeping standards.
• Assist in execution of monthly maintenance on presses.
• Ensure that all bins are emptied at the end of each shift.
• Unclogging compactor when necessary.

OTHER DUTIES

• Utilize the Enterprise Wide Radius Software in order to ensure efficient and effective daily performance within the Label Manufacturing Department.  
• Assist in area of the department as needed to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved.
• Assist in Cross training other employees as required.
• Perform duties with adherence to the Company's Health and Quality procedures and practices.
• Perform duties with adherence to the Company’s Food Safety System.
• Ensure that good housekeeping practices are maintained at all times.
• Any other related duties as assigned by management.
