This role involves business analysis, financial tracking, reporting, project management, and administrative support to drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making within the division.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure timely processing of all bills, invoices, and payment vouchers related to the division.
Assist in budget-related matters, including salary changes, employee relations, and expenditure tracking.
Manage and monitor all division-related expenses, working closely with Finance Officers to identify budget deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Collate, extract, and analyze key business reports to support the VP’s strategic and operational decision-making.
Work with stakeholders to prepare reports on market performance, competitor research, and industry trends.
Work with the VP to develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Serve as a key liaison between the VP’s office and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and follow-through.
Work with stakeholders to Implement business intelligence mechanisms to support both Division and enterprise-wide Risk Management and decision-making.
Analyze industry data to identify business opportunities and market trends.
Conduct trend analyses to identify areas of synergy, operational strengths, and areas for improvement.
Plan, execute, and monitor projects for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Oversee special project leadership and support as required.
Handle executive-level correspondence and communications on behalf of the VP where required.
KEY TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Basic knowledge and understanding of the core principles of insurance and how this is applied on a day to day basis.
Basic knowledge and understanding of the range of insurance products and services available in the market and how that knowledge can be used to meet client needs.
Basic knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and how to meet these on a day to day basis.
Basic knowledge of how claims should be handled and managed.
Basic knowledge of the underwriting process.
Basic knowledge of Beacon and the wider insurance market place and how this is applied on day-to-day basis.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
BSc in any business-related field.
Post Graduate Certification in any business-related fieldwill be an asset.
Certificate in Business Analytics will be an asset.
Power BI Certification will be an asset
Advanced Skills &/or Certification in Excel and other Office Suite tools will be an asset
TTII State License
Professional certificate in Office Administation certification or any related certification
Minimum of five (5) or more years professional work history.
Three (3) or more years of experience in providing high level support to executives.
