Job Title:           Senior Accounting Clerk

Reports To:    Dealership Accountant

 

Summary:

The Senior Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining the financial records of Jetour Jamaica, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and providing financial insights to management. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enter payments/deposits on new car units, issue receipts and posts same to customer accounts.
  2. Prepare petty cash reimbursement worksheets and supports.
  3. Enter transactions on Dealership Management Systems (DMS) to include GL journals, invoices and associated entries, stock receival, etc.
  4. Maintain the accounting filing system for the Dealership.
  5. Prepare month-end schedules for assigned General Ledger accounts and subledger clearing accounts.
  6. Provide accounting support and guidance to the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • AAT/CAT or other professional qualification
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience. Automotive industry or DMS knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Additional Considerations:

  • Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting is beneficial.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond promptly and accurately to information requests from management and stakeholders.
