(Contract Position)

The position reports to:

  • ● Sales and Marketing Manager

 

 

A. POSITION PURPOSE:

The Sales and Marketing Officer reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager and is responsible for executing the company's Sales and Marketing program, including data collection and analysis, managing promotional material and databases, preparing reports, and organizing meetings towards achieving the company's pre-set commercial and branding targets.

 

B. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tracks Company’s sales data, maintains promotional materials inventory, plans meetings and trade shows, maintains databases, and prepares reports.
  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; and updating calendars for the products.
  • Answers questions from clients about our products and benefits.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service.
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department, inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Researches the market for competitors and identifying opportunities for sale of products by identifying and evaluating locations, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Conduct market research and identify consumer trends in the market.
  • Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests from Management.
  • Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Create networking opportunities and manages relationships with external customers to ensure high-quality and execution of marketing programs, and to ensure competitiveness.

D. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIOURAL AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:                                                           

Qualifications: Minimum

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Business Marketing or related field.

Experience: Desired

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in a similar position.

Behavioural Competencies: Desired

  • Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
  • Adapt easily to changing environment.

Technical Competencies: Desired

  • Social media savvy.
  • Understanding of the business operations and external environment.
  • Effective use of resources.
  • Advertising and promotion.
  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis and report writing.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading trade publications.
