The Sales Supervisor – Institutional is responsible for overseeing the promotion and sales of the Company’s pharmaceutical and medical products and services to hospitals and other medical institutions.

JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Supervisor – Institutional is responsible for overseeing the promotion and sales of the Company’s pharmaceutical and medical products and services to hospitals and other medical institutions. This role involves strategic planning, relationship building, and the execution of sales plans to achieve the Company’s objectives.

JOB DUTIES

  • Oversees the prospecting effort to create a steady pipeline of leads for the Company; and creates strategies to enhance engagement with medical and healthcare sector contacts.
  • Supports the Sales Team in moving prospects/leads to opportunities and finally, sales.
  • Works alongside the commercial team for order processing and delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Leads the effort in providing excellent customer service and addresses client issues promptly to maintain positive customer relations.
  • Actively manages the Company’s accounts to maintain long-term relationships, broaden market presence and increase sales to both new and existing customers.
  • Maintains accurate and current files for each account and provides applicable monthly reports to Management.
  • Proposes and implements sales activities to manage inventory levels.
  • Addresses regulatory and compliance challenges by collaborating with the Company’s Brand Specialists, Regulatory or Legal teams.
  • Works alongside the Brand Specialists to support the sales team with navigating product specific technical issues.
  • Supports the sales team with handling competitive pressure through competitive intelligence and understanding SR’s unique value propositions.
  • Supports the Sales Team in understanding the Regulatory Requirements related to the products and services offered by the Company. Works alongside the Brand Coordinator to provide continuous training and education regarding compliance and ethical standards.
  • Reports and assists with the enforcing of consequences for non-compliance with set standards.
  • Performs coaching with representatives to improve overall selling strategies and soft skills, documenting same.
  • Identifies, coordinates and evaluates specialized training needs. 
  • Creates an annual plan regarding proposed activities toward high motivation levels amongst the Sales Team.
  • Works alongside the Sales & Marketing Manager to set and adjust incentives as required.
  • Conducts daily visits with representatives to evaluate their execution of sales strategies.
  • Reviews sales quotas and develops monthly sales plans for each customer to support the Company’s sales goals. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Natural Science is preferred. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in sales, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical industry.
  • Experience in supervisory management will be an asset.
