OVERVIEW:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The Clients’ Risk Management Operations function is expanding operations at JESS to support the RM Project Management process area. Team members within the delivery center work with Client’s stakeholders under a team extension model to support Client’s back-office operations.

The Clients’ RMO function is responsible for the implementation and management of all aspects of the Client’s proprietary risk management and independence systems and processes, to support compliance with risk management policies and regulatory requirements. Additional requirements include preparing and delivering feedback, communications, reporting, analytics, and quality assurance.


JOB SUMMARY:

The JESS RMO PM Assistant Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects within the Client’s functional portfolio and supporting the Client’s program managers and portfolio leads throughout the project lifecycle from project initiation to project closure. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for supporting the development and execution of the Client’s change management and communication strategy and programs.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery

  • Manage overall project execution across functional portfolios to ensure objectives and desired outcomes
  • Assist with business case development, identify, and support ROI & breakeven analysis, quantify metrics throughout the project’s lifecycle to ensure desired measures are achieved
  • Responsible for ensuring services are delivered according to operational and contractual requirements
  • Become knowledgeable of RMO processes performed in the delivery center
  • Act as a change agent to advise, develop, and execute all aspects of change mgmt. & stakeholder adoption for projects/portfolios, to include but not limited to communications, training, guidance, and procedures
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure acceptance of releases and product delivery
  • Provide a real-time view into risks and exposures with timely escalation to Client’s management; create and agree on mitigation strategies
  • Develop RACI matrix to ensure clear expectations are established among project team members, including, but not limited to, business sponsors, stakeholders & internal and external vendors
  • Provide financial oversight of budgets, including planning, auditing, and financial leadership reporting
  • Prepare operational reports and communicates the status of service delivery to Client’s stakeholders
  • Drive the deployment of strategic initiatives in partnership with the Client to continually support the JESS model and its objectives
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Encourage and supports the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives such as automation and procedural enhancements


Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Key point of contact for Client’s stakeholders to collaborate on all aspects of service delivery
  • Proactively identify and escalate issues to KJESS Risk Manager, and recommend corrective action in a timely manner
  • Cultivate productive relationships between local and Client’s teams’
  • Effectively communicate with the Client to understand any changes to the Client’s departmental policies, processes, and procedures, and implement affected changes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of five years of project management experience
  • Project Management Program (PMP) certification a plus
  • Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project; knowledge of other project management tools such as Clarizen a plus
  • Proven experience with developing and managing complex, multi-departmental project plans
  • Experience with monitoring program budget, managing risks & issues, and performing status reporting

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities
  • May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays
