Provider Relations Officer

Applications are invited from qualified persons for the position of Provider Relations Officer in the Provider Relations Department.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identifying potential Providers and initiating the process to enroll them with Guardian Health.
• Maintaining the relationship between Providers and Guardian Health.
• Visiting Providers to address service issues and enhance relationships.
• Performing various administrative functions to support service delivery to the Provider network.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• A first degree in Business Administration or a related area from a recognised tertiary institution.
• At least two (2) years’ working experience in the insurance industry or any other area in the financial sector.
• HIA designation would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Health Insurance operations.
• Working knowledge of claims processing.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and the relevant health insurance computer systems.
• Excellent time management skills and able to work on own initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented, meticulous, courteous, co-operative, team-oriented, flexible

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a valid driver’s licence for at least 2 years and a reliable motor car
• Required to travel island wide
