The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and adherence to industry regulations.

Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and adherence to industry regulations. This role includes managing production schedules, optimizing workflow, maintaining equipment, and leading a team of production staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), with a strong focus on maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure production processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Implement and maintain HACCP systems to identify and control critical points in the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold quality standards.
  • Supervise and motivate production staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Provide training on GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols.
  • Address performance issues and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and optimize resource utilization, including raw materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience ideally within the Food Manufacturing Sector
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices Knowledge of HACCP Knowledge of US FDA Food Safety standards PCQI qualified
  • Ability to work after-hours if required
Working hours: Monday – Saturday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
