The incumbent will assist with the execution of projects and civil works throughout the compound and the development, evaluation, execution and review of systems and procedures for the management of the property maintenance functions.
Summary
The incumbent will assist with the execution of projects and civil works throughout the compound and the development, evaluation, execution and review of systems and procedures for the management of the property maintenance functions.
Job Responsibilities
Prepares status reports for assigned projects by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends with recommendations to regularly monitor and control:
Project schedule - by coordinating activities and resolving problems
Project budget
Project resources
Project quality
Reviews contractor bids and assigns contractors or in-house tradesmen to specific phases and elements of the project in consultation with the Property Manager.
Identifies engineering problems and ensures solutions are implemented.
Executes job tickets on the property maintenance portal and coordinates with the Department Supervisor for use of internal labour or external contractors to complete job tasks.
Coordinates and supervises Property Maintenance service contracts.
Issues work permits and ensure that all contractors and materials used on projects comply with the company's quality and safety regulations.
Coordinates and ensure that all requirements are organised and tasks are completed for ISO 22000 and all other company certifications.
Generates reports for general maintenance and projects.
Ensures that all payments for property maintenance jobs and projects are within budget and are update with the accounts department.
Required to respond to emergencies as they arise.
Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc. Degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Diploma / Certificate in Projects or Property Management, Building Construction, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Three (3) years' experience in property maintenance and management.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift/man lift experience will be an asset.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods
Proficiency in MS Suite
Efficient time management and organization skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills
Confident decision-making ability
The ability to work within budgets and assigned deadlines
