Portfolio Manager- Wealth Management

Responsible for conducting all aspects of managing portfolios, reviewing approved research and liaising with analysts on investments, review reports for submission to regulators and other duties as required.

FUNCTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS:

• Develop and execute portfolio strategies for high-net-worth (HNW) portfolios to achieve investment objectives.
• Implement asset allocation, performance monitoring, risk minimization, and compliance strategies across assigned portfolios.
• Ensure compliance with investment policies, regulatory guidelines, and investment committee requirements.
• Monitor and actively manage assigned portfolios, ensuring rebalancing strategies are executed as needed.
• Conduct ongoing analysis of local and international economic environments to identify trends, investment opportunities and mitigate risks.
•  Evaluate the suitability of specific assets and asset classes for inclusion in each portfolio.
• Review all approved research reports and collaborate with analyst and the wealth management team to ensure informed investment decisions.
• Monitor daily portfolio performance and ensure that all trends align with established investment policies.
• Stay abreast of market events at the micro ad macro level that impact portfolio performance.
• Prepare and deliver performance presentations to institutional and individual clients as required.
• Create sample portfolios for prospective clients upon request.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Conduct all aspects involved with managing portfolios, including executing investment strategies, tracking the execution of trades, ensuring compliance with Investment Policies and tracking investment performance relative to objectives and benchmarks.
• Review all approved research and liaise with Analysts on specific investment selection to ensure that the best decisions are being made for client portfolios.
• Prepare and deliver performance presentations.
• Prepare and/or review reports prepared for submission to Regulators as required.
• Prepare information for marketing purposes as required.

EDUCATION

• BSc Degree in Finance/Economics or professional qualification in Accounting.
• An MBA in Finance preferred but not required.
• Pursuance of the CFA designation would be an asset.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High competence in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, excel, power point, etc.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the Bloomberg Terminal.

EXPERIENCE:

• At least three (3) years’ experience in managing investment portfolios, with excellent investment analysis competencies.
