Purpose of the Role

Supervising the activities of formulating and repacking pesticides, fertilizers and household and Personal care products, while effectively leading the team to produce goods of the highest quality, guided by company standards.

 

Principal Responsibilities


  •  Participate in the formulation and repacking of pesticides, fertilizers, and other products.
  • Efficiently coordinate all the activities within production and laboratory while ensuring the maintenance of standard manufacturing and quality control techniques and procedures.
  • Inspect and record daily production activities to ensure conformance with company’s standards.
  • Maintain quality control standards by recording and storing batch samples.
  • Lead the process of standard checks to ensure a continuous availability of production and lab equipment in good working condition.
  • Collect and prepare retention samples from each batch produced and new batch of technical grade raw material.
  • Ensures appropriate labelling, coding, and packaging of all finished goods produced and retention samples.
  • Complete daily production reports and system updates. 
  • Support the mandate of Good Manufacturing Practices through leading the adherence to controls, safe handling of equipment, and raw material usage.
  • Support investigations into customer complaints.

  • Analytical with the distinct ability to interpret data in supporting key decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Structured approach to assigned tasks with the ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs unassisted.

  

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Production/Operations Management, Agriculture or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years manufacturing plant experience (preferably with 1 year as a Team Leader).
  • Quality Control experience would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
