PHARMACEUTICAL DIVISION MANAGER

 

Our client operates a well-established and successful Distribution Company. The entity is actively executing their strategic priorities to grow their business and is seeking to recruit for the role of Pharmaceutical Division Manager.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Pharmaceutical Division Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving the total business results of the Pharmaceutical Division. This senior leader must have strong general management skills to directly lead the commercial and operations functions while incorporating the shared services provided for all the other key functions of the business. This transformational leader will be required to collaborate with key players to include at least four (4) heads of departments (direct reports); to meet or surpass employee engagement, customer satisfaction, revenue and profit targets among other key performance indicators.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  1. Play key role with respect to the Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting processes to ensure plans are established and are appropriately cascaded to all Departments and members of the team.
  2. Execution of the Strategic Plan to achieve relevant targets through timely and effective implementation of the Commercial and Operation plans, resulting in significant business outcomes. Lead the Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews.
  3. Develop and strengthen supplier relationships to ensure strategic and organizational alignment to achieve common objectives and ensure optimal pricing decisions are taken on a timely basis.
  4. Ensure the organization’s structure is designed in alignment with the Company’s Strategic Plan and roles are filled to maximise results.
  5. Develop and execute the Sales, Distribution and Customer Experience Models to respond to the changing needs of the business.
  6. Identify new Categories aligned to the Strategic Framework and develop the supporting Business Cases with Marketing.
  7. Lead to establish a great employee centred culture. Ensure individual development plans are established for team members based on recognized needs and facilitate career path discussions to ultimately improve employee engagement and experience.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Management or related field
  • Master of Business Administration is an advantage
  • A proven track record of delivering results in complex market conditions
  • Seven (7) years’ experience at a senior Business/Sales Management level in the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong Leadership & General Management skills
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented team-player
  • Highly developed Communication and Presentation skills
  • Managerial experience in multi-cultural, multi-market organizations
