PIZZA CHEF
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with the executive chef/ Food & Beverage manager to produce diversified menus in accordance with the restaurant’s policy and vision.
• To ensure the preparation of food in accordance to organization standard as well as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
• Prepare pizzas out of our menu and based on custom orders.
• Make fresh tomato, pesto and white cream sauces.
• Wash and chop vegetables (for example, tomatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms).
• Cut, slice and grill meats like chicken, ham and beef.
• Portions and prepares food items according to menu.
• Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed.
• Use less traditional ingredients to appeal to a larger audience (for example, vegan cheese and gluten-free flour).
• Cook appetizers, like mozzarella sticks, pizza bites, garlic breads and salads.
• Recommend new recipes to update our menus.
• Maintain a clean cooking station and sterilize equipment.
• Produce high quality pizzas that follow up the established menu and level up to location’s standards, as well as to clients’ requirements.
• Developing a cross-marketing strategy in order to increase profit, such as pairing drinks with the food served.
• Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
• Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.
• Preparation of frozen pizzas.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• Diploma from a culinary school is a plus.
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
