Job Summary:

The New Product Development, Quality Assurance, Production Planning, and Control Officer is responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality confectionery products by implementing quality control measures, monitoring production processes, and optimizing planning and scheduling. This role involves maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, improving production efficiency, and reducing waste while ensuring customer satisfaction. This role also include collaboration with production and R&D teams to ensure the successful introduction of new products.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and monitor quality control processes in the candy production line.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, etc.).
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and inspection reports.
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and allergen control within the production area.
• Train employees on quality and safety protocols to maintain consistency in product quality.

Production Planning and Control:

• Develop and oversee production schedules to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
• Monitor raw material inventory levels, coordinating with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and minimize downtime.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, cycle time, and waste reduction.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
• Assist in cost control initiatives by optimizing resource utilization and reducing wastage.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and production planning, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, and food safety regulations.
• Experience with production planning software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.
