Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Mechanical Works Consultant to oversee mechanical and plumbing operations for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing international construction projects and demonstrate expertise in construction management, equipment mobilization, site management, procurement, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of construction projects, from mobilization to turnover, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
Manage mechanical and plumbing works, including HVAC, water treatment systems, and underground utility installations.
Collaborate with designers and coordination teams to review and modify design packages.
Lead and supervise crews, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
Manage procurement processes, including negotiating contracts, purchasing equipment, and coordinating logistics.
Monitor fuel and oil consumption, spare parts inventory, and equipment maintenance.
Oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of critical mechanical equipment such as pumps, chillers, fuel tanks, and generators.
Plan and execute mobilization works, including setting up cranes, batch plants, water treatment systems, and material warehouses.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and legal requirements for equipment operations.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, foremen, technicians, and workers.
Conduct training programs for operators, riggers, and safety personnel.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
Attend client meetings, provide progress updates, and address inquiries related to quality control and project timelines.
Liaise with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and certifications.
Coordinate client training sessions on mechanical systems and equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical works management for large-scale construction projects.
Certifications in OSHA Safety Training, Lifting & Rigging, and Equipment Management are preferred.
