JOB SUMMARY

The Manager – Information and Communications Technology, is responsible for ensuring that Information and Communication Technology’s strategic direction is aligned to and supports the organization’s strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies. The Manager, Information and Communications Technology is responsible for Technology Lifecycle Management in the organization and aims at transforming the ICT Group from an operational focus to a customer-centric focus. The role works with management and external partners to ensure that the ICT infrastructure and digital assets are working efficiently and effectively. The incumbent will need to partner effectively with stakeholders within the Group to ensure the Group’s overall ICT objectives are achieved

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Defines the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy to support the strategic requirements of the business and identifies the business benefits of alternative strategies. 
  • Leads the implementation of all strategies for technology while ensuring the implementation and enforcement of technology standards are held across the organization. 
  • Leads the review of the Department’s strategic plan proposals and creates tactical, strategic and AOP budgeting plans. 
  • Provides technical leadership and serves an integral role in operations and business development. 
  • Makes recommendations and presents business advantages for technology initiatives and improvements. 
  • Provides OSS / BSS, Tier 2 & Tier 3 support through relevant functions, including systems management and API integrations between relevant ICT systems & infrastructures. 
  • Implements specific applications that enhance the overall organizational framework. 
  • Engages external developers/ vendors as needed, for additional application products. 
  • Engages with analytics-related areas to conduct testing and establish metrics for measuring the effectiveness of new applications.
  • Evaluates and purchases software solutions that enable interoperability of all systems and databases needed to run the business.
  • Manages the implementation of integration technology; ensures integration with the introduction of any new systems or databases.
  • Infrastructure design & delivery of customer-centric ICT solutions that are required by Amplia Communications in a cost-efficient manner (including leveraging existing IT architecture), with the inputs of other internal stakeholders. 
  • Oversees the building and maintenance of all databases/ warehouses needed to produce analytics and reporting. 
  • Develops data management processes and circulate data capture best practices to ensure data integrity throughout the business.
  • Establishes rules on controlled access to data, how long data should be stored, where and how to maintain data warehouses and repositories 
  • Cloud applications management, including updates, data transfers, and vendor relationships. 
  • Leads the development of technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure organizational success. 
  • Monitors and identifies potential organizational risks and develop migration plans in accordance to identified risks. 
  • Manages and leads the team of ICT personnel. 
  • Manages the internal PC/Network Support function. 
  • Manages and supports the internal Application Support function including but not limited to CRM, ERP, Billing, Provisioning and 24x7 Call Centre applications. 
  • Manages and/or develops audit and control related IT processes 
  • Liaises with other business units to ensure adequate internal support services are provided when required. 
  • Liaises with Engineering department to ensure that engineering functions dependent on IT and vice versa, continue to function efficiently. 
  • Researches and recommends relevant IT Solutions in line with overall understanding of the current and future company operations; conducts solutions evaluations with financial justifications such ROI, IRR, NPV; procures Software, Hardware and Services as required by the business. 
  • Oversees Business Continuity planning and execution. 
  • Develops and manages data retention and backup strategies and processes. 
  • Liaises with the Product development team to ensure integration of new products with provisioning and billing. 
  • Liaises with Marketing to ensure that the web infrastructure and services are updated as required and remain available. 
  • Defines and implements cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives and ICT strategy. 
  • Conducts regular risk assessments, manages identified risks, and ensures compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards.
  • Develops and maintains an incident response plan, lead incident response activities, and conduct post-incident analysis. 
  • Develops, implements, and regularly updates comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards. 
  • Conducts regular security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity. 
  • Oversees the design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of security infrastructure. 
  • Implements data protection policies and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. 
  • Assesses and manages cybersecurity risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers. 
  • Stays current with cybersecurity trends and continuously improve the organization’s cybersecurity posture. 
  • Collaborates with other departments and communicate cybersecurity risks, strategies, and initiatives to stakeholders.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS    

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management or equivalent. 
  • An MBA or Masters in Information and Communication Technology or equivalent qualification. 
  • Must possess at least fifteen (15) years progressive experience in Information Technology with at least seven (7) years of experience in a managerial position. 
  • ITIL or COBIT Certification would be an asset. 
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) would be an asset. 
  • At least five (5) years of progressive experience in cybersecurity roles, with proven expertise in risk management, incident response, and security policy development. 
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including data protection, network security, and secure software development.
  • Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption solutions, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems. 
  • Social Intelligence, Negotiation, Problem Solving, Conflict Management, Decision-making skills.
