Overview:
KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named "Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)" operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide office support to its member firm KPMG United States ("the Client").
JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal IT Risk and Compliance Analyst will have a strong understanding of risk and security principles, with the ability to analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data for compliance analysis. The role involves validating data integrity, interpreting data, and providing ongoing reporting for compliance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
• Analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data for compliance analysis.
• Validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis.
• Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reporting for compliance.
• Present results clearly and interestingly to help the Firm analyze trends and noncompliance.
• Perform Security and IT control testing.
• Continuously monitor for noncompliance of IT and security controls using automated systems.
• Apply a fundamental understanding of risk to business functions to perform risk reduction and mitigation activities.
• Perform control gap assessments on IT processes and report on results.
• Advise and assist teams regarding compensating control alternatives where security requirements cannot be met.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices related to security and risk.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience in IT or Governance, Risk, and Compliance Audit
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience; risk or security experience within a large professional services environment preferred.
• Understanding of security principles, IT and security controls and related technologies and products.
• Ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members.
• Strong verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. Experience leading meetings and operating effectively in a matrixed environment.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
• Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities.
• May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays.
