INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

We are seeking to hire a technically sound, and talented Information Technology Manager to join our dynamic management team. If you have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement, we want you on our team!

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility of the Company’s network infrastructure, and use his or her technological skills to make the Company more efficient, by analyzing our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades. Our ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of network maintenance, experience in managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge and experience.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Management of IT projects, including the deployment of new IT systems, system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
• Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
• Help define appropriate IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
• Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders in the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
• Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
• Oversee the resolution of hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
• Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
• Monitoring the IT security health of the organization - network and data areas.
• Providing direction for IT team members.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• BSc /MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in IT Management
• Must have at least 4 years’ experience in network setup, configuration and maintenance.
• Excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Must work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Must have knowledge of the retail and manufacturing industry. Experience with Loc SMS is an asset.
• Knowledge of Sage Accpac ERP.
• Flexible working hours (i.e. to be able to work late in the evenings and on weekends)
• Own or have access to a reliable motor vehicle.
• Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
