Job Description - IT Manager Caribbean
Our client, a prominent organization with a strong international and local presence, is seeking an experienced IT Manager for the Caribbean. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all regional and group-level IT systems, including applications (mobile and otherwise), infrastructure, and information security. This role ensures adherence to global IT standards, oversees the management of regional IT risks, and leads the IT integration for mergers and acquisitions across the Caribbean. As part of the Caribbean leadership team, the IT Manager will collaborate closely with both regional and global IT stakeholders to drive strategic and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Management:
- Oversee IT infrastructure, systems, and applications, ensuring performance and availability.
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company's business goals for the Caribbean region.
Security & Risk:
- Enforce IT governance, manage risks, and implement security measures, including during M&A.
- Oversee system and network security to safeguard company data Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
M&A IT Leadership:
- Lead IT due diligence, integration planning, budgeting, and security for acquisitions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with LATAM IT, Group IT, and Systems teams.
- Collaborate with other departments to assess and anticipate their technology needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
Project Management:
- Lead IT projects, ensure compliance with IT PMO processes, and oversee software/system deployments.
Budgeting & Procurement:
- Define and manage IT budgets, oversee procurement, and align purchases with Group standards.
Service Management:
- Manage third-party IT providers and provide end-user support across Caribbean markets.
Training & Communication:
- Ensure user adoption of IT tools through training and communication materials.
Asset Management:
- Oversee IT inventory and maintain ServiceNow for incident and request tracking.
This role ensures IT alignment with business needs while maintaining security, efficiency, and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing IT projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and security protocols.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
