Financial Controller

Job Summary

Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions and ensuring that company accounting procedures conform to international financial reporting standards; in addition to managing the operation of the finance department and its associated functions and supporting  the Managing Director and assisting in business processes to ensure the smooth operation of the financial operations and to liaise closely with other managers, internal and external.

 Knowledge and Skills

Education and Experience

  1. Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting
  2. Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience at a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  3. Must have a professional accounting designation e.g ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
 
 

Learned Disciplines Specialised Techniques and Skills

  1. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including International financial reporting standards.
  2. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  3. Knowledge of the country’s financial regulations, including income tax and social security.
  4. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
