We are looking for a Financial Manager / Controller for our Puerto Rico office. This position is responsible for cash flow management, reporting and control for our Caribbean region. In addition, this position pro-actively works with other areas to drive value and carry out best financial practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Puerto Rico finance team.
  • Implement and monitor appropriate internal controls to ensure adherence with the company's financial accounting policies and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other local statutory requirements.
  • Create and develop high performance and diverse teams.
  • Oversee the monthly close process for the countries, including financial statement reviews with regional and business groups.  Ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Analyze financial information to assist management meeting or exceeding profit plans; make recommendations towards sound business decisions while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead Forecast and Budget processes.
  • Maintain high level of communication, partnership, and collaboration with management team to ensure good profitability.
  • Work in close partnership with Corporate Tax and Treasury to direct and coordinate local tax and treasury functions, including management and forecast of working capital, tax filings and compliance with tax authorities.
  • Oversee Accounting, AP, AR, Treasury, Fixed Assets and Taxes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Advanced degree or CPA certification desired
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience working in a multinational organizational setting, preferably a US based company.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, versatility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong manager of processes and people with the ability to develop and motivate staff.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strategic, analytical and creative thinker with demonstrated problem solving skills.  Solid background in process improvement.
  • Results oriented; proactive; and have a high level of integrity.
  • Must speak English and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Business Intelligence tools.
  • Multi-cultural experience desired.
  • Availability to travel
