ECONOMIC ANALYST

Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of “Economic Analyst” at Republic Bank Ltd.

The job holder is responsible for conducting economic/business research and related activities to inform decisions related to business and development strategies of the Republic Group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Monitoring and reporting on economic and financial developments.
• Conducting research and preparing speeches or reports as directed.
• Fulfilling requests for economic and business information.
• Capturing data and maintaining an up-to-date data base.
• Researching and writing articles.

GENERAL QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The jobholder should have:

• A Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc) in Economics.
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in economic research as well as data collection and assimilation.
• Proficiency in the use and interpretation of econometric software packages with a sound understanding of Economic principles.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCES AND SKILLS

• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills, problem-solving, negotiating, decision making, multi-tasking, prioritising and meeting deadlines.
• Good HR Management, Interpersonal, Written & Oral Communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
