Objectives of the Role:
∙ Manage and grow Project STAR’s online presence across digital and social media platforms.
∙ Collect, Create and schedule high-quality, engaging content that resonates with key audiences.
∙ Foster an active and engaged online community.
∙ Track and analyse performance metrics to inform strategy and optimise content.
Key Responsibilities:
∙ Content Creation and Curation: Create, curate, and schedule engaging content that aligns with Project STAR’s mission and objectives, ensuring brand consistency and voice.
∙ Scheduling and Posting: Implement a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent posting across all social media and digital platforms.
∙ Mailers and Email Campaigns: Design, create, and send out scheduled email mailers, including newsletters, updates, and event invitations, ensuring timely and effective communication with the community and stakeholders.
∙ Digital Mailing List Management: Manage and grow the organisation's digital mailing list, ensuring it is up-to-date and segmented appropriately for different communication needs.
∙ Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the Project STAR website, ensuring all information is current, accessible, and reflective of the organisation’s latest initiatives and messages.
∙ Community Engagement: Actively engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and interactions in a timely and authentic manner to foster relationships.
∙ Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance metrics, using analytics tools to measure success and make data-driven adjustments.
∙ Collaboration: Work closely with the Communications team and the broader Project STAR team to align content with campaign goals and brand messaging.
∙ Event Coverage: Collect and share content from community events, working alongside freelance photographers/videographers as needed.
Deliverables:
∙ Consistent and engaging social media content published on schedule, in alignment with Project STAR's goals.
∙ Timely, well-designed email mailers sent to subscribers, with content that supports the overall communication strategy.
∙ An updated and segmented digital mailing list, continuously growing with relevant contacts.
∙ A well-maintained website that reflects the latest updates, news, and initiatives from Project STAR.
∙ Reports on the performance of digital media efforts, with recommendations for improvements. Real-time coverage and updates from key community events and activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
∙ Proven experience in social media management and digital content creation.
∙ Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software).
∙ Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and best practices.
∙ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
