Platinum Motors is currently seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team and assist in assessing vehicle damage after accidents. If you possess strong communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

To evaluate and examine damaged cars in order to develop a repair strategy and a detailed cost estimate that includes labor, parts, and materials.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the condition of vehicles after accidents and determining the amount covered by insurance.
  • Inspecting damaged vehicles, writing estimate reports, and submitting reports to insurance companies.
  • Building relationships with vehicle owners, staff, and insurance personnel to optimize customer service, productivity, and meet financial goals set by management.
  • Utilizing the Dealer Management System to write estimates and interact with other computer software.
  • Scheduling repairs to maximize productivity and managing deadlines set on jobs.
  • Tracking parts on order with suppliers to keep customers and/or insurance companies informed and effect repairs in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining contact with customers throughout the repair process, addressing all concerns, and ensuring satisfaction upon completion of repairs.

 

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • A minimum of three (3) CXC passes at General or Basic Proficiency, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience as an estimator in the collision repair industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and insurance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately assess vehicle damage.
  • Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems and computer software.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
