DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA ASSOCIATE
Core Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Strategy:
- Develop engaging video and static content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Visit JTA Supermarkets’ store locations to capture live content, including promotions, events, customer interactions, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Plan and execute creative storytelling initiatives to highlight products, services, and brand values.
- Work with the Sales & Marketing and Branch Management / Product Management teams to ensure content aligns with brand identity and campaign objectives.
Social Media Management:
- Schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms based on the established schedules.
- Monitor, engage, and respond to customer interactions in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
- Stay updated on social media trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices.
Performance-Based Targets:
- This role requires achieving specific numerical goals for:
- Follower growth on all active social media channels.
- Engagement rates (likes, shares, comments, video views).
- Overall reach and brand awareness.
- Track and analyse key social media metrics, including engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Provide monthly reports with insights, progress toward targets, and recommendations for optimization.
- Adjust content and engagement strategies to continuously improve performance.
Advertising & Promotions:
- Assist with paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for collaborations, giveaways, and promotional initiatives.
Reporting:
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of marketing activities, expenditures, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on marketing activities and their impact on business performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- An Associate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
- Social Media Management and Digital Marketing certification from an accredited institution.
- At least two (2) years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation.
- Experience in the retail and/or supermarket industries, or FMCG marketing.
- Proven experience with Google Analytics and Search Engine Optimization best practice.
- Direct experience using editing tools (Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, etc.).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative design concepts that effectively communicate the desired message.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering high-quality work.
- Available to work after hours on weekends and evenings as reasonably required.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
