You should be able to collaborate with software developers, system operators and other IT staff members to manage code releases; cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development, testing and operations teams and keep existing networks in mind as they design, plan and test. You will work closely with the Product Owner and Scrum Master and provide milestones and the current status for deliverables.

 

 Responsibilities

  • You will manage our GPU computing infrastructure
  • Implement networking solutions for video streaming and maintain our container platform.
  • This involves developing monitoring systems, implementing security measures, and ensuring optimal performance of our distributed computing environment.
  • Implement and manage multi-server deployments in AWS, Rackspace Cloud and Microsoft Azure, as well as On-Premise
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy new code to production environments
  • Maintain and improve monitoring systems and alarms for production environments
  • Set up back-up mechanisms for production environment and test disaster recovery mechanisms
  • Manage incident response with other engineers and clients
  • A strong Linux background with experience
  • Sound knowledge of security and risk mitigation through technology.
  • Experience with automation tools.
  • Prior work with Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch, and related technologies
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Jira, Jenkins, TravisCI, CircleCI, AppVeyor, etc) is an asset.
  • Build Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of systems.

  • Know Git or other version control and have experience in an agile environment.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of modern platform technologies and industry-standard methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience combining Development and Operational Administration
  • Experience as a systems administrator in a Unix (Linux, Ubuntu, Redhat) and/or Windows environment.
  • Experience with container orchestration (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of GPU computing infrastructure
  • Understanding of networking protocols and security
  • Background in high-performance computing environments
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work in a client facing role
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills in situations with tricky technical situations
  • In-depth knowledge of an infrastructure automation framework and experience with infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
  • Experience setting up and managing Databases, such as MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience of typical build and release management processes, including continuous integration packages.
  • Knowledge and experience with Docker containers in cloud environments as well as On-Premise
  • AWS (EC2, RDS, etc) and Azure Platform Expert Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Databases – Replication, administration, and monitoring
  • Git Version Control
  • Mastery of Kubernetes and Docker
  • Security and Risk Mitigation
  • Cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) / platform as a service (PaaS), microservices, Docker containers, Kubernetes, and Jenkins
