Warehouse Operations Manager

Provides the Sales Division with effective Finished Product Warehousing and Distribution services by exercising a high degree of initiative and independent judgment within defined areas of authority and conducting work within policy guidelines.

Job Summary

• Provides the Sales Division with effective Finished Product Warehousing and Distribution services by exercising a high degree of initiative and independent judgment within defined areas of authority and conducting work within policy guidelines that are periodically reviewed by the Head of Distribution. Monitor and ensure that EPC meets their daily volume of sorted bottles in crates, so as to fulfill the demands of EPW Champs Fleurs.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse complex to ensure both Finished Product and Empty Packaging Center are sustained.  
• Ensure that OTIF delivery metrics are maintained and increased monthly, in accordance with set targets. 
• Ensure the availability, on a daily basis, of appropriately built loads to maximize the capacity of available trucks and trailers for direct customer delivery and shuttling services, in order to ensure that vehicles are dispatched on time, to provide a delivery service that is responsive to the demands for product. 
• Monitors stock movements for Finished Product Warehouse and Empty Packaging Center, to ensure that minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained, and stock located in the warehouse under his/her responsibility is always accurate, with stock holding totaling 80% of warehouse capacity, and in verification with an official stock count. 
• Ensures that the Finished Product Warehouse and Empty Packaging Center are clean, tidy, orderly and maintained in accordance with acceptable housekeeping standards. 
• Maintain zero tolerance for product damage due to negligence of internal staff. 
• Ensures that all cashier’s duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with strict policy guidelines, and deposits are accurate, properly secured in deposit bags, and deposited daily. 
• Ensures that empties returned from the trade are properly stored and returned to the Empty Packaging Center. 
• Manage all aspects of distribution inclusive of returns from trade and empties 
• Prepares and submits to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager reports on all aspects of the Warehousing and Distribution process as required. 
• Develops and maintains a consultative communication system with sales personnel and subordinate team members for the purpose of reviewing delivery demand planning, enforcing policies and governance accordingly, addressing human and equipment performance related problems and initiating creative solutions to address/correct deficiencies. 
• Develops and maintains a culture of safety awareness and safe work practices among subordinate team members and ensures that the work environment is hazard free and personal protective equipment is always available and worn in the prescribed manner. 

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Logistics. 
• At least two (2) years’ practical experience in Warehousing Operations at a senior level.  
• At least two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment at a supervisory level. 
• Any acceptable combination of training and experience.
