Manager - Security (ALNG)

Our client, Atlantic LNG, is seeking to fill the position of Manager - Security.

JOB PURPOSE

The Manager – Security shall be the Single Point of accountability for the security of the business and shall be responsible for the protection of all corporate assets – people, plant, operations, and reputation against security threats. He/she shall set clear security requirements for all company operations and shall be the principal advisor to the company’s leadership on security risks and its management.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manages security at both strategic and operational levels, providing proactive security risk management for existing and emerging security threats.
• Provides advice and direction to Leadership on all security matters.
• Develops and maintains networking among peers, security agencies, and government agencies to enhance information sharing and a proactive and systematic approach to security risk management in the local energy industry.
• Ensures implementation and embedment of the company’s strategy, core values, policies, procedures, and expectations within the Security unit.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

• A first degree in Security Management or related discipline from a recognised, accredited institution.
• A Post Graduate Degree in a related field will be an asset.
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant experience preferably in the oil and gas sector, with at least five (5) years’ experience at a senior supervisory level.
• Experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management and a strong working knowledge of pertinent laws and law enforcement.

• Working knowledge of Port facility Security Operations (PFSO), security intelligence and physical security aspects.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate security operations at tactical and operational levels and provide solutions to improve performance.
• Proficient in leading investigations end to end.
• Ability to effectively lead a team, inspiring people to deliver world-class results.
• Proficient in the use of technology and the use of digital applications.
