Warehouse Manager

 

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the tracking of all inventory, overseeing receipts from vendors and container shipments and orchestrating the movements and storage of goods in the warehouse. This position also requires that you know the philosophy and history of Margaritaville Caribbean Group, learn the history of all our brands and also to learn and apply the philosophy of Margaritaville:  Code of Conduct, Mission, Vision and Core Values.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the movement of merchandise entering and leaving the storeroom ensuring proper documentation and authorizations in keeping with company policy.
  • Performs personnel functions (e.g. interviewing, evaluating, supervising, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate administrative staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget.
  • Monitor employee performance to ensure adherence to health, safety, security and environmental policies and practices.
  • Oversee the implementation of procedures and controls to ensure effective inventory.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts.
  • Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
  • Daily monitoring of incoming stock for obvious faults or defects and reporting these to the Receiving & Purchasing Department.
  • Monitoring and advising on food safety breaches in the warehouse whilst ensuring compliance with all ministerial agencies.
  • Record and communicate all short shipments to the Receiving & Purchasing Departments.
  • Monitor stock levels in order to highlight minimum and excess levels and therefore prevent shortages.
  • All other duties assigned by VP Operations.  
  • Ability to manage effectively in a demanding, dynamic, fast paced, team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and take initiative.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Good organizational skills, prioritization and time management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must pay good attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellence in reporting and documenting in Microsoft Office software.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on a task from start to completion.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Perform a biweekly department meeting updates/progress on departmental initiatives and projects.
 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to learn new functions, procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 Confidentiality in the performance of duties.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and/or weekends.
  • Must have exceptional personal grooming habits.
  •  Forklift handler’s certificate an asset but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to transportation.
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Flexibility is required to independently work with other departments in a wide variety of circumstances.
  • Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize job-related equipment.
  • Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans.
  • Attend departmental meetings when required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following:  Business Management, Administration and/ or minimum five (5) years’ experience in warehousing, inventory and shipping.in office management.

  • Certificate or Diploma in Warehouse & Inventory Control
