The Waiter/Waitress will work as part of the Restaurant teams at the Crane to take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages as well as food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications both courteously and efficiently.

The Opportunity- Waiter/Waitress

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, skilled and highly motivated individual join our Food & Beverage Team.  The Waiter/Waitress will work as part of the Restaurant teams at the Crane to take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages as well as food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications both courteously and efficiently. He/ She will also be expected to collect payments and assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.

Summary of Main Duties:

• Take and record guests' Food & Beverage order.
• Input order into system, ensuring transmission of food orders is verified by the kitchen.
• Guide the activities of the assigned Commis-Waiter/Commis-Waitress to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Remove solid wares from tables as assigned and transport to dishwashing area.
• Present guest checks and process payment through the cashier. 
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit card policies/procedures. 
• Collect and report tips at the end of the assigned shift. 
• Serve all food courses and beverages items to the guest.
• Present guest checks and process payment through the cashier.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• At least one-year experience in a similar role
• The foresight to anticipate, identify, and solve any problems or information in need of consideration and adjustment.
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time.
• Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and evenings as scheduled.
• The ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Excellent health.
• The ability to understand and focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
