Vice President – Alternatives & Funds Management

Spearhead the development of business strategies for the company’s alternative investments across the region.

Core Functions:
•	Spearhead the development and management of business strategies for the company’s alternative investments across the region. Asset classes include, but not limited to, infrastrcture assets, private equity, mezzanine debt, derivatives contracts, commodities and real estate.  
•	Oversee the management of the company’s unit trust portfolios across multiple asset classes
•	Pursue the development of the company’s off-balance sheet funds management business across the region 
•	Oversee the company’s structured products business lines across the region

•	Prepare the company's yearly off-balance sheet fund management and structred products fee income targets.

•	Provide leadership and supervision for Alternatives and Fund Management Unit.

Qualifications & Experience:

•	Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related fields
•	CFA designation would be an asset
•	A minimum of ten (10) years’ work experience in portfolio management, securities trading and/or related fields, including at least five (5) years’ experience at a managerial level

Specific Knowledge Required:

•	Thorough knowledge of alternative investments and structured products.
•	Thorough knowledge of the local, regional and international securities markets.
•	Detailed knowledge of the rules and regulations governing professional conduct and the Jamaican and regional securities markets.
•	Sound knowledge of economic theory, particularly monetary theory and macroeconomics.
•	Sound knowledge of the principles and techniques of financial management accounting
