Utility Technician

The Utility Operator has responsibility to provide operator level support to all machines in the factory during the shift in the beverage processing area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform batching of simple syrup, finished syrups and operate all Fillers
• Carry out sanitation of all equipment and vessels according to established procedures
• Operate the Filler machines efficiently and in keeping with safety standards
• Ensure all quality specifications are met
• Carry out job in keeping with all food safe standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Plan and carry out duties to minimize downtime
• Perform relief for personnel on shift as required
• Complete and maintain accurate shift logs
• Keep work area clean and orderly at all times
• Change over Fillers based on product size
• Perform minor maintenance to Fillers
• Any other duty assigned within the scope of the job

 JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Graduate from a recognized tertiary institution such as National Tool and Engineering Institute or equivalent with at least one (1) years’ experience in Production or
• Minimum five (5) passes in CSEC including English A and Mathematics/Principles of Accounts and a technical subject with at least one (1) years’ experience in Production
• Good communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to communicate with varying levels of staff
• People-oriented and results-driven with good interpersonal skills
• Possess good analytical, problem-solving, organization and time management skills
• Meticulous, with the ability to function well individually and on a team within a demanding work environment
